About Dr. Tang
Dr. Tang
grew up in San Francisco and graduated from UC Berkeley with degrees in Philosophy and Engineering. He received his medical degree in 1993 at the University of Southern California with highest distinction and election to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school honor society.
Following surgical internship at County-USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, he received neurosurgical training at the Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard in Boston and Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Tang completed a one year clinical fellowship in spine surgery at Emory University.
Dr. Tang is board
certified.
Dr. Tang was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in the Best Doctors in America list for 2009-2010, representing only 5% of physicians nationwide.
Dr. Tang has authored over one hundred presentations and publications and received over twenty professional and academic awards including:
